Purpose of Award
The National Association of State Contractors Licensing Agencies (NASCLA) has created a national award recognizing innovation, creativity and excellence in the regulation of the contracting/construction industry. Public sector contractor licensing agencies are invited to nominate agencies that have demonstrated these attributes according to the criteria listed below. One of these state agencies will be recognized for their outstanding Innovation in Regulation at NASCLA’s 46th Annual Conference Banquet.
Selection
NASCLA will manage the nomination process, and the 2008 NASCLA Awards Selection Committee will review and score all nominations. The award recipient will be announced on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at NASCLA’s 46th Annual Conference Banquet.
Criteria/Eligibility
Actions for which you are nominating the agency must have occurred between May 2006 and May 2008. All nominations forms must be received by August 8, 2008 and accompanied by five digital photos.
Presentation
Important: Please include only one project per nomination. The award recipient will be announced on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at NASCLA’s 46th Annual Conference Banquet.
In preparing this online nomination, please attach:
- Attach a statement (on letterhead, typed, and double-spaced) that describes the reasons your nominee deserves to receive this award, including the information listed above. Be specific, but please keep statements to a maximum of 750 words (Windows doc or PDF).
- Attach a color, high-resolution digital copy of your association’s logo (jpg, gif, tiff, or psd file).
- Attach a reference letter about your nominee (Windows doc or PDF).
- Attach a color photo of your project (jpg, gif or tiff file).
